Endodontic Therapies
Cleveland area endodontist Najia Usman, DDS specializes in endodontic therapies designed to treat the pulp, or living tissues inside the teeth and eliminate tooth infection. Endodontic therapy also prevents future infections of unhealthy or injured teeth to keep your mouth healthy and promote overall physical well-being.
Endodontist Najia Usman DDS is board certified by the American Board of Endodontics and a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontists (AAE).
Patients who need endodontic therapy are encouraged to pursue treatment as soon as possible to avoid pain, tooth loss, bone loss, abscess development and illness that can result when teeth infections occur.
Root Canal Treatment
Untreated cavities or fractured teeth can result in infection of tooth pulp. Root canal treatment is designed to correct this infection and prevent it from spreading. The procedure is relatively painless and is essential to maintaining the health of your teeth and gums.
Apical Surgery
When root canal treatment is not enough to resolve infection from the root tip of a tooth, apical surgery is necessary. Apical surgery involves removing a portion of the root tip and sealing the root canal.
Treatment of Tooth Trauma
Chipped, cracked, broken or detached teeth can be addressed with traumatic tooth treatment. If you seek treatment immediately following facial trauma that damages one or more teeth, Dr. Usman may be able to save all or part of the damaged or detached tooth, as well as address immediate cosmetic concerns if the tooth cannot be saved.
