NEOGRAFT: Hair regeneration technologies, using platelet-rich plasma (PRP) with RegenLab®

What is NeoGraft?

NeoGraft is today’s most effective hair restoration procedure, combining cutting-edge technology and proven techniques that extract, collect, and implant individual follicular grafts. This industry leading technology allows NeoGraft certified doctors, such as Dr. Quereshy, to recreate a full and natural-looking hairline, using the patient’s own hair.

Benefits of Neograft

Dr. Quereshy proudly uses NeoGraft because it is safe, precise, and efficient. Our patients prefer NeoGraft for its visible results.

Additional advantages of NeoGraft over alternative hair transplant options include:

  • No visible scarring
  • Fast recovery
  • Minimally invasive
  • Natural-looking
  • Highest-rated

What is PRP and why is it important?

Dr. Quereshy acquires platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from each patient’s own blood, processes it, concentrates the growth factors, and then uses it on the scalp to stop hair loss and create thicker, stronger hair. Using the patient’s own blood both prevents hair loss and reverses its effects, reduces the potential for adverse or allergic reactions, and can even wake up dormant hair follicles. Recognized as a certified global leader in medical biotechnologies and known for it’s product quality, patient safety and preparation efficiency, RegenLab® is used to process the blood and prepare it for application to the scalp during the transplant process.

NeoGraft—The Process

The NeoGraft procedure involves four simple steps:

  1. Hair Follicles Harvested — Once the back of your scalp (the donor region) is sufficiently anesthetized, we harvest (or extract) the hair with our NeoGraft device which uses suction to core and gently remove each individual follicular unit.
  2. Grafts Counted and Sorted — After harvesting has been completed, we carefully separate the follicular units by size so as to create a natural appearing result. Follicular units range from 1-3 hairs.
  3. New Site Prepared — We prepare depth and angulation of the recipient site—using the previously gathered information regarding your desired hairline design—to ensure graft viability. At this point during the procedure, we treat the scalp with the growth factor enriched plasma that we’ve previously obtained.
  4. Hair Grafts Placed — Dr. Quereshy carefully implants each individual follicular unit, using proper depth and angulation to ensure maximum graft-take rate and optimal results.

NeoGraft FAQs

What should I expect during my consultation?

Dr. Quereshy will do a thorough evaluation and ask you about your hair loss history and your expectations. You will be able to view before and after photos and discuss the technology of NeoGraft. Finally, we will discuss the scheduling and cost.

How do I get ready for my NeoGraft procedure?

Since the area of the donor site will be shaved during the procedure, we recommend that you cut your hair short in preparation. This will allow for less noticeable change when you return to your normal activities while the site heals.

What do I do immediately following my procedure?

Once we’ve made sure that the graft is properly positioned and secure, we rinse the donor and recipient areas and apply a light, protective dressing. We will give you detailed post-op instructions, but the required care is quite simple since there is no incision or sutures to be removed.

Do hair transplants hurt?

No. The back of your scalp is properly anesthetized, so you won’t feel a thing. And our patients normally experience very little pain or discomfort after the procedure. A small amount of drainage may occur the first day, but this is normal and minimal. For minimal swelling, refrain from strenuous activity the first week or so.

How do I care for my new hair?

For the most part, just proceed as you always have. The new hair is yours and will not fall out. You may want to prevent additional hair loss by using a NeoGraft therapy. Ask your doctor about what he would recommend for best maintenance.

Cost of Hair Transplant

Just as every head and hair combination varies, so do the costs of hair transplants. Factors, such as the type of hair loss (which correlates with the number of prospective grafted required) as well as the type of hair, directly impact the cost. Additional variables that influence the overall cost include head size, prior treatments, medical history, and hair density. After a thorough evaluation, Dr. Quereshy will be able to present you with a complete treatment plan and the expected costs.
